And then the roof caved in...

Homes, shopping plazas, a facility for people with mental illness, an airport hangar, a church, a saw mill, greenhouses, small businesses, at least 130 barns, and a coop in Bozrah, Connecticut home to 85,000 chicken...all victims of Snowpocalypto's new tactic of collapsing roofs. NY Times has it all here.

Middletown, CT - home of the gross and perpetually overrated Wesleyan Cardinal - has apparently been hard hit. Their local paper mapped out roof collapses across the Nutmeg State. My advice: stay away from the I-91 corridor.

Sweet video, ill tunes, cool place

In honor of at least the threat of snow yesterday.

Stay tuned for possible TCD footage from this place come March...

Sunday Funday?

Is the Universe's 18th most dangerous city poised for the type of white stuff that didn't contribute to this year's FBI ranking on Sunday?

I am ready for winter.

Endless winter

Just in time for the holidays, Hammacher Schlemmer (that's a mouthful) is introducing the year round sled called The Slicer. In the words of HS:

Similar in concept to the informal, fair-weather competitive pastime of ice blocking where one rides a frozen block of ice down a hill, two plastic ice molds that attach to the bottom of the sled are removed, filled with water, and frozen in a standard refrigerator freezer. When re-attached to the bottom of the sled, they reduce the friction between the ground and the sled (especially on hotter days that encourage melting) for a half-hour of snowless summer sliding. Best when used on short grass. In the winter with the molds removed, its smooth yet durable high-density polyethylene shell and runners provides exhilarating rides down snow and ice-covered hills.

Whatever. This dudes sweet helmet is NOT included.
