This is how sweet war movies start

Mediterranean Sea. Present Day.

The USS Kearsarge (pictured) and USS Ponce cleared the Suez yesterday as Washington, and the world, turn up the heat on Gaddafi. Story here. While Hollywood is definitely the least important stakeholder when it comes to the current crisis in Libya, I am hoping Tinseltown gets another shot at a Behind Enemy Lines-esque movie out of this debacle and Owen Wilson gets nowhere near the script.

Current events quiz: Sheen vs. Gaddafi

Or is Qadaffi? Or Qadhaffi? Or Gadhafi? Honestly, the dude's name is spelled differently every time I see it printed on the front page of a newspaper. That turns out to be everyday. Either way, both he and Chuck S have a way with words. The Guardian is having a little fun with the phenomenon.

Take the topical, quotable Sheen v. Gaddafi quiz. I suffered through a 6/10, which is disappointing whether you think it's impressive or terrible.

Quote Of The Day?

"I am on a drug; it's called Charlie Sheen. It's not available because if you try it once, you will die. Your face will melt off and your children will weep over your exploded body . . . too much?"

Rod Stewart helpfully explains in his own words why I'm not a fan of his music...

"Half the battle is selling music, not singing it. It's the image, not what you sing.
