Kenny Powers Signs with Sox

The Mets were not the only team making noise with hirings and firings yesterday. The Red Sox picked up Kenny Powers off waivers from HBO. Not really, that's just Rod Beck.

In addition to Beck's mullet, highlights include cocaine with the Mets, blowing cash with Dykstra, teaching gym with "Sweet Lou", doing 'roids with a gross collection of MLB'ers that includes a lot of Yankees, and selling personal belongings with John Daly.

Moderate drinking, which is defined as one to three drinks per day, is associated with the lowest mortality rates in alcohol studies. Moderate alcohol use (especially when the beverage of choice is red wine) is thought to improve heart health, circulation and sociability, which can be important because people who are isolated don't have as many family members and friends who can notice and help treat health problems.
