I beg to differ with Yvonne Chouinard's description of his and North Face founder Dough Tompkin's epic 1968 adventure down the western backbone of this great continent that yielded two great outdoor clothing and equipment companies and preserved 2 million acres of Patagonian landscape, but who am I to argue? 40 years later, the Malloy brothers of professional surfing fame recreated the adventure with some buddies and the result is what I am sure will prove to be a great film. 180* South will start showing in cities around the country this weekend. Because it's not coming to Boston, watch the trailer below.
