Corpo Cussing
In corporate life, you have to be selective with whom you speak candidly (i.e. swearing) with. Some offices are very formal while others very relaxed. Mine falls somewhere in the middle with a fade to the formal. I swear a bit over the course of a normal day, but I'm definitely aware of who I can and cannot swear in front of. As much as I'd sometimes love to yell at someone, "shut up and fuck off," it'd probably be used against me in my salary review. One company that is sick of the corporate cussing has created "try saying" phrases with the hopes of civilizing the conversation while still allowing employees to "express" their thoughts. That sounds great, but I don't think employees want to pull out a translator sheet when suddenly having the urge to tell someone to "shove it up there ass." Plus, swearing to me is just generally satisfying. I guess they have no choice. Funny nonetheless.
Thanks to Thos. Jefferson Weekends for sending this along.
