Yesterday, Arcade Fire released an interactive video from their latest album "The Suburbs."
If you have Chrome (Google's Browser) than you can take full advantage of the video. You start out by putting in your hometown address and the site takes over from there. It uses varies windows inside of the browser to show traditional video content and other windows to show Google Map views of the address you entered. Part way through the song you can also add text about your hometown to leave as advice for future generations. All of the various containers interact with each other giving a unique experience connected to images you recognize.
Overall, it is much different experience than just watching a video. Thanks to Arcade Fire for some cool experimentation and actually making a video that takes advantage of the medium.
