From the archives: No Mas Presents: Dock Ellis & The LSD No-No by James Blagden

This video is nuts! It depicts the day that Dock Ellis threw a no hitter with a head full of acid.

Bear vs. Cat

For the record, my stereotype of Russia definitely includes people keeping baby bears as pets.

House For Radio?

This golden-throated man is homeless. Watch the video and listen to him speak. That is seriously a gift/talent greater than any gift or talent than the average person possesses. Kind of sobering that he still wound up homeless.

Annoying dude, interesting insight

I could do without this Hans character's accent/enthusiasm, but this appears to be his idea of a good time and his commentary adds value. Two interesting things to look out for...try to follow Japan once it is identified at the 2:08 mark (just prior to The Deuce) and then re-identified at 2:34 (1948). Do the same with China starting at 2:46 through the end. Like a beach ball.

I would also like to see the breakdown of the US by state similar to what Hans does with China at the end. I bet it's pretty uncomfortable.

Danny MacAskill "Way Back Home"

My buddy emailed me this today and said it would fit well on the blog. It certainly does. The video showcases MacAskill performing absurd stunts across various locations in Scotland. Impressive all around. Thanks JBros for sending this along.

People are talented

Some physically, some in the video editing room. I know some of these aren't real and that others have been seen on their own in this blog, but this video is a cool compilation.

My favorite is the Goshawk, starting at 1:52. Enjoy.

What if You Could Score Your Moves while Skiing/Snowboarding?

Nokia and Burton have mashed together some technology that lets skiers and snowboarders track their real moves. It makes a lot more sense after you watch the video...

Arcade Fire Interactive Video

Yesterday, Arcade Fire released an interactive video from their latest album "The Suburbs."

If you have Chrome (Google's Browser) than you can take full advantage of the video. You start out by putting in your hometown address and the site takes over from there. It uses varies windows inside of the browser to show traditional video content and other windows to show Google Map views of the address you entered. Part way through the song you can also add text about your hometown to leave as advice for future generations. All of the various containers interact with each other giving a unique experience connected to images you recognize.

Overall, it is much different experience than just watching a video. Thanks to Arcade Fire for some cool experimentation and actually making a video that takes advantage of the medium.

This Dog Is More Talented Than Your Dog

Dog and man dancing Merengue.

That dog is a very talented dancer, and clearly well-trained, but the dance did creep me out a bit too.

Video From The "Glad I'm Not There" File

A tornado of fire. Wow!
