Taco Standoff

Things got real at San Antonio's Rigsby Road Taco Bell drive-thru on Monday. With the price of gasoline at the pump skyrocketing, it seems that at least one motorist cannot stomach the 50% increase in the price of Taco Hell's Beefy Crunch Burrito, which can typically be purchased adjacent to the gas station.

This is how it went down. 37 year old Ricardo Jones ordered 7 units of the delectable Mexican Heat (TCD code for fast food) and was so disgruntled by the price hike he shot an air gun at the manager, displayed an assault rifle and pistol while in the restaurant's parking lot, fled as police were called, and pointed one of his weapons at three officers who pulled him over. Fleeing when they opened fire, he barricaded himself in his hotel room. His final bill from The Bell? $3.50 plus tax. Reports that the motel room cost less are unconfirmed.

Ultimately, Jones was charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault against a public servant. Crazy times in San Antonio. Read more about it here, and reference below for places to avoid when visiting the home of the Alamo.
