Things Have Changed...

Below is a cover letter of a contract, to a player, from Curley Lambeau: founder, player and first coach of the Green Bay Packers. The candor in this is great, and I love how there seems to be no concern for legal liability or the layering in of specific, quantifiable, incentives - "We will gladly increase the amount of this contract as soon as you are playing the kind of ball deserving more money." I find it funny that Curly makes "Ed" aware that The Packers be furnishing all of the equipment. Click on the image to zoom in.
