On a personal note, I was thrilled to see 80's phone books made the list. I walked past a stack of these awful things in the foyer of my apartment building for weeks and they went completely untouched. Sadly, that means they were finally disposed of, a complete waste, but still, how many people are actually using the yellow pages to look up numbers? In my building, zero.

Notables include the organic compound BPA, happy meals, bottled water and styrofoam. All cause harm to people or the environment and as we become much more enlightened cats, we'll need to find alternatives to these items.
