For anyone who's already seen Matt & Kim, nothing I write here will come as any surprise. This was one of the best concerts I've seen in a long time. I haven't seen a band put out this kind of energy...ever...and it really finds its way into the audience, in a hurry.
The set was extremely high in intensity and short but hey, at 28 and on a weeknight, I have no problem getting home before midnight. Newc and I sat up in the balcony, first row, center section and it was the shit. The crowd down in general admission was tightly packed, crowd surfing and having the good time that Matt & Kim kept demanding of them.
Moment(s) of the night (there were two): When Kim introduced her "motherf**king parents" who were in attendance and when they covered "Just A Friend" by Biz Markie with a lengthy sing-along.
Basically, if you ever get a chance to see these guys, don't hesitate. It definitely made my week.
Thanks to the House of Blues as well, love seeing shows in that place.
I have seen them twice, once outside and they totally get into things.....glad you enjoyed the show but also happy to hear that I didn't miss anything I have already seen.
ReplyDeleteSnipes and I saw them open for Cut Copy, that was an awesome show
ReplyDeleteI was there as well front row! One of my friends (who is really tall) was able to pass the camera to Kim as she approached our area. She took a picture of our area and took another under shirt hahah.
ReplyDeleteAwesome concert.
