This IS stupid

For those that don't know, this season the NBA will be cracking down on players complaining about fouls they were issued I believe Phil posted something about this a little while ago and said that 'Sheed would not have played too much, great point. KG was thrown out of last night's C's-Knicks game for trying to get clarification on J. O'Neal's tech. Tommy Heinsohn has the best reaction to this, enjoy:

  1. I'm laughing maniacally at my desk thinking of two ways this affects C's fans:

    1. We won't have to watch whiny suck-bags like Perk and KG argue calls anymore

    2. Because they'll be ejected from games.

    *This rule IS stupid

  2. As will all the other whiny suckbags like LeBron and Kobe, etc... I'll be interested to see how officials treat the stars of the league who are generally the most guilty of acting like babies when they commit a foul. This will just add another layer of "star treatment."

  3. This rule doesn't add any extra accountability to the refs, in fact it empowers them. If you take a broad look at the officiating over the past few seasons, you will notice a high level of inconsistency, which is troubling given the fact that the truly bad calls cannot be ridiculed. KG's ejection was truly absurd, all he did was start laughing and he got his second tech. I agree with Snipes: the best players in the league will probably be able to get away with murder while the middle level players (vast majority) will be issued lots of techs. This will have severe implications on team records and the playoff runs because as we have seen in the preseason, the boys in black and white aren't afraid to issue techs and those will start to add up and lead to suspensions. This is will cripple an already weak league to begin with.
