Bow Down To Your Rat-Robot Overlords

Stories like this sometimes make me sympathize with the anti-progress, anti-science crowd. Scientists have apparently given a robot a rat brain. From the robot's movement, you can definitely see the rat influence.

They call it The Singularity, when robots and humans become one. We are truly on the path. Between all the stuff we do to our bodies, the surgery yes, but also the genetic testing, drugs, and all that, and from the other end, what they're doing to robots to make them more lifelike.

Deep thought: Will future human/robot hybrids trace their family trees back to the point where they were 100% human (or robot)?
