Most of you have probably heard of or seen Floyd Mayweather's video in which he verbally assaults Manny Pacquiao, this has drawn national attention particularly from the NaFFAA, who's chairman took particular offense.
Here's my take, Mayweather is a clown and this is a publicity stunt, he just wants to drive more attention and ultimately more $$ to the fight. More money for PPV = more money for "Pretty Boy" Floyd and certainly more $$ for Pacquiao. My favorite part of the video is when Mayweather says, "Once I stomp the midget, I'll make that mother f----- make me a sushi roll and cook me some rice." Pacquiao is from the Philippines, not Japan. Dumbass.
Obviously Mayweather was way out of line with his remarks, but he is just a boxer, this is part of the sport. Mayweather makes his living on this, he has made a lot of promoters and HBO execs rich. He is not a role model figure, he's an ass, but he's one of the best fighters the sport has ever seen. I just think this whole thing has been blown way out of proportion.
