(me asking the Feds)

Breaking news is that the Feds are planning to expand their "tap one, tap all" phone strategy to the Net. In other words, in the name of national security they can tap whatever the heck they want (encrypted mobile email, phones, texts, VoIP, etc etc etc).

Expect this to pass in the name of national security and if you're a law abiding citizen like me, it should be only mildly upsetting.

If we've all learned anything from "The Wire" (and I hope to God we have) it's that you never use phones, text messages can be tapped and you should only take face-to-face "meets."
