Bo Knew Sports

I was watching BP before the derby on Monday and Peter Costas interviewed Jackson, and I'd forgotten how big of a stud he was. He won the Walter Camp and the Heisman in 1985. He was the All-Star game MVP in 1989 and was a Pro Bowl select in 1990.

He played 4 years in the NFL for the Raiders and rushed for 2,782 yards and 16 touchdowns and had a 5.6 yards/carry average before his career was cut short by injury. He played 7 years in the majors and had a career average of .250 with 141 home runs and 415 RBIs. After his football injury in 1991, Jackson took a year off from baseball and returned to the White Sox in 1993 and hit 16 home runs and 45 RBIs earning him the Tony C award.

If his career was not cut short by injuries...
