Ugly Start

The C's were simply outplayed last night at the Staples Center, I guess they had no easy button. Here is the tale of the tape:

The formatting didn't come out so well, but this is the box score from STATS. The X, Y, and Z factor last night was Gasol, the Celtics had absolutely no idea what to do with him. He is CLEARLY a different player than he was in 2008. Garnett can't bang him like he did 2 years ago and Gasol got to the line 5 times last night on top of his double-double. If the C's can't figure out how to play him, it's going to be a short series.

I thought the team defense by the Celtics was bad also, Bryant was able to slash into the paint too many times with the soft D by Garnett and Perk. Artest made the most 3's of any player last night with 3, and 'Sheed was the only Celtic to make a 3-pointer. What a joke. I don't know what to say, hopefully things turn around on Sunday and the C's forget about this one.

  1. I hate both these teams...I am rooting for Artest however. That could mean a fight, a flagrant foul, weird post-game antics, poorly worded Tweet or whatever. Thank god Artest is in this series to make me care.
