When in Need of a Laugh

Something related to Philadelphia sports can usually do the trick. It is not often that the TCD staff can agree on much related to pro sports - we are comprised of Sox, Mets and Yanks fans. Giants and Pats fans. Rangers and B's. Knicks, Nets and C's - but I think we can all rally around the fact that Philly is gross.

Last night, a 17 year old kid, after allegedly calling his father to ask permission, was tased as he ran around the outfield at Citizens Bank Park in the 'Iladelph. Video below. While you can see the rotund cop pull out his taser, it actually looks like the kid is going into a sweet head first slide when he gets hit by the voltage rather than crumpling under some serious wattage. I'll hand it to the young grommet, he takes it like a champ.

Anytime a taser video comes up, it reminds me of one of my all-time internet favorites. Please enjoy with sound, although the shreaking at the end gets a bit weird.

  1. Can you imagine how rad it must have been to be in person at that game and witness that happening while holding an ice cold beer?

This is a clear argument to bring back gladiators.
