Lionel Messi is the Best Football Player in the World
He's so good I feel compelled to call his sport by its rightful name.
The best soccer player in the world changes so quickly, it's hard for the casual fan to keep up. So consider this post a PSA before the World Cup. Lionel Messi is now the best.
I'm in agreement with Snipes. However, an afternoon of YouTube perusal failed to yield a Rooney clip as dynamic as the hundreds of Messi masterpieces out there. At age 24 and after 7 years of Premier League experience, Rooney is less flashy than he once was but never has he been so good at his job-- scoring goals. And, with less talent around him, the bulldog from Manchester is going goal-for-goal with Messi this season. Let's hope for a Champions League duel between these two. That'd be one hell of a World Cup primer.
