Untapped Wind Power Potential

The map below, from today's Fast Company shows where the wind is strongest in the U.S. It's a cool graphic and simultaneously makes me happy that I don't live in the middle of the country (sorry mid west, don't mean any disrespect).



Also included in the article is this list of the top 10 wind potential states:

1. Texas
2. Kansas
3. Montana
4. Nebraska
5. South Dakota
6. North Dakota
7. Iowa
8. Wyoming
9. Oklahoma
10. New Mexico
    

There's obviously a lot of work left to do for us to reach our wind power potential. I say we go for it.
