Just about the strangest thing you'll see today...the BigDog war robot

Here's a prototype image of what developers have planned to debut in 2012. The robot is capable of tracking and following human motions (scary), carrying up to 400 lbs of gear, and walking up to 20 miles on one tank of gas. Boston Scientific was awarded the contract to develop the first battlefield ready bot and I can only imagine how much sweet sweet data is going into the development.
