Devo decides to scare up a new look

Totally weird dudes and classic new-wave icons Devo are trying to update their look to accompany the release of their first new album in 20 years. (Anyone else remember them getting cooked by Beavis and Butthead back in the day? - how about that for a 90s reference).

Anyway, they used to don the red "energy dome" exclusively, I think we can all remember and if not:

Well now these dudes are back at it and in the spirit of being "new-wave" during a new era, they've decided to crowdsource their new look. In other words, they're letting the people decide. They've hired a NYC ad agency to run color experiments down in LA to figure out what will please the people the most. Below is a message from their weirdo COO on what they're up to:




I know, it doesn't really make sense to me either. They're keeping the energy dome (thank god) but changing its color and now wearing white jumpsuits. And looking pretty damn old:
