Lets get a list going of fantastic lines delivered by Olympic announcers.
Two from last night's hockey coverage include:
"...tremendously tremendous."
"Those are some happy humans."
Others? We'll vote on the Top 5 at the end of The Games to determine the winner. Tremendously tremendous is the obvious current front-runner.
This is sports guy's tweet following that line...

Our new ceiling for "Best sporting event of 2010." That game was tremendously tremendous. Nice work passing it off, NBC!!
By the way...and I'm usually supportive of the New York Times, but this was actually an article on the top of their Olympics coverage about how so many ice skaters cry after their turn on the ice.

Now, I can only imagine the melodramatic and utterly absurd commentary that accompanies those displays of emotion.
figure skaters and Tim Tebow love crying a LOT on national TV.
I definitely noticed "Tremendously Tremendous." My favorite quote from last night came from Bode talking about his mindset between the downhill and slalom race: "I had to get fully fired up to take maximum risk." Maximum risk is awesome.
ReplyDeleteOn Russia looking like shit against Canada: "I was really disappointed that these guys (the Russians) came with their Euro-Trash game." Mike Milbury
